I believe 3L is a 32 bit 'C' to Assembly translator with options for a single or multi-processor optimization.

It is more likely that the current drive will be towards 64 bit architecture using a topology of Lattice or Hypercube microprocessors
with a closely patented Job scheduling strategy. At the lowest level, the single task source code is most likely to be 'C' only because of the expanse of already optimized Library functions readily available.
