I think the Finn attitude comes in part from the fact that Sweden once ruled Finland, or at least a good part of it. The legacy of that is the areas of Finland where the Finnish people speak Swedish, ala "Swedish-speaking Finns". Of course, those Swedish-speaking Finns can't help the way they were brought up, and don't at all feel any ill towards Swedes.

Was it my last name that brought this up? Karlsen is Norwegian. I'm 1/4 Norwegian and 1/4 Finn. No Swede that I know of. Stockholm is wonderful to visit though.
