Southside sets stock split, ups dividend
ST. LOUIS, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Southside Bancshares Corp. said Friday its board of directors has approved a three-for-one stock split payable in the form of a stock dividend.

The company said it has also set a post-split quarterly dividend of $0.08 a share, an effective increase of nine percent. Southside previously paid a dividend of $0.22.

The additional shares will be distributed November 15 to shareholders of record November 2. The quarterly dividend will be payable December 15 to shareholders of record December 8.

BTGC, nice find. Profitable bio-tech is rare, and this one has some potential kickers to boot.

The PE is low when you look at their growth rate. Did you see the profit margin !!!!!!!!

Their deal with Sumitomo to sell Bio-Tropin in Japan will boost sales for their leading product and are about to receive royalties for use of their technology in the Merced contraceptive, they are set to begin selling BioLon, an opthamlic product in Nov.

The stock could get a big boost if and when they obtain approval in Israel for their hepatitis B shot. This approval could come any day now.

Did you look at the warrants ? Convertible at 7, I think and expire soon.

The short interest on the stock is quite large and earnings are due next week. Promises to be very interesting.
