Alan, to be fair; I cut my teeth trading futures so to me, trading in stocks is already slow motion!. In fact, there was a book written a few years ago called market wizards, and in it, they state that when your dentist is getting in, you know the top is in!, well, do I have to go any further?

Alan,

You make some very good points! I only recently came to this discovery for my own trading. "You learn execution and make decisions based on the technical analysis but everything moves in slow-motion, you don't get drowned by quick market turns.

I got myself scalded a few times this summer by continuing to trade the way I had been for at least the past year and a half. The market changed its habits and I didn't recognize that soon enough. I began to buy utilities and got a grip on my trading again.

Good post!

Ken
