Jach,

Talked over your posts with some of the guys in the lab and the best that we can come up with is that you could be narrowly interpretting the spec and deciding that PNNI routing chooses paths, but does not move data. But since this is also true of layer 3 routing protocols its a given. The other guys assumed you may not know this hence the semantic confusion.

Sorry for assuming a Cisco thread contributor would know about routing :-)

He is correct... the paths in the switching system are established using PNNI mechanisms.

Can we move on!!!!
