CatLady

I got an email from a non member who referred to your problem. Here's what he said:

You might want to suggest to CatLady that her computer may be acting up from poor ventilation and a problem with dissipating heat. I put in a case fan in the back of mine and drilled holes in one of the front bay drives and put a thin cloth over the holes to circulate air through the case while keeping dust out. (I can't post)

CL,
Any chance you've got some sort of file corruption? The reason that I went to W98 is that the machine had become too unstable under W95 to deal with...regular lockups, etc. I first did just an upgrade to W98, which is when I had the Neurostock problems. Some things didn't get better. So, I bit the proverbial bullet, reformatted the W95 partition and started re-installing applications. So far, at least, things are now much better. Don't know if any of this applies to you, but your observation of stability with regular re-boots suggests memory-leakage or something, doesn't it?
