It absolutely is Fong is WRONG! Come on, no liberal running in California would even think about initiating an asian racial slur as a part of a campaign tactic - talk about suicide! BARBARA BOXER: Matt Fong is wrong on taxes. Don't you think Fong is wrong? Fong is wrong. CROWD SHOUTING: Fong is wrong! Fong is wrong! pbs.org BTW, Matt Fong is the son of March Fong Eu, very popular politician who held all kinds of offices in Ca - she was one of the only women politicians at the time (mid 70s) and also one of the only asians at a time when there were fewer asians in Ca than now. You have to admire her for that, anyway Matt Fong is using his mom on political ads, "He'll be a great senator, and hes a great son" or something like that. Now thats a tricky little tactic I must admit. And pretty dang effective - if I wasnt so peeved at all the republicans right now I might vote for Fong. I believe a lot of Boxers votes will be republican backlash.
