thanks Barkat...DATEK has always worked well for
me,...EXCEPT ON THIS MAJOR TRADE. Actually it's
good, because COMS is still up, but hard to believe
it will stay up. OTOH, I learned long time ago, COMS
is unpredicatable...major breakthrough though is beginning,
and 20's are history, and who knows, maybe low 30s.

Well, gotta go check on DATEK again.

It very rarely happens that *all* Datek quote
servers go down at once - so you have to hunt
for the one that is not down. Doing that on
the Web is a *pain*.

Take a look at the shareware prog I wrote - Medved QuoteTracker
at medved.net (SI thread at
siliconinvestor.com.

It connects to Datek or a bunch of other RT sources on the Web
to track user's portfolios, plot live intraday RT
charts, give stock price alerts, track major indexes, show
historical data charts etc.. Switching Datek servers is
a breeze and you can go to another RT source if Datek is
down completely.
