The "Fifth Estate" is running a show on CBC this week on diamonds and blood in Africa. Didn't specify which specific countries the show was on. Hopefully raise some eyebrows and cause a little political pressure that might be channeled threw to the U.N..

Hi all! Off Topic! If anyone is planning to fly on 1 Jan 2000, you may be out of luck. Just trying to keep the thread alive on slow days. KLM who has been saying all along that they would be Y2K ready is saying now that it may have been premature. In light of that and other concerns by the insurance companies who insure airlines, the insurance companies MAY void airline insurance for a few days preceeding Y2K. By law commercial carriers are not allowed to fly without insurance. This was a topic on CBC today. No phony diamonds were discussed today. Cheers !!! Peter
