This is all my own opinion.
The more I think about it, the more it is making sense to me as to the future of WSTL's ADSL.
I think that they will sell off their ADSL products for a break even at best to cover R&D. Then focus on their
Core products,…..T1/E1 NIU's, PROAct, Total Access, Smart Link, T1 Maintenance Switch, and HDSL products.
This seems the direction the company is heading. They are continuing to build up the core products and
MZ even hinted that WSTL could be profitable today if they dropped the ADSL business.
In my opinion this was the second strong hint that they will be fazing out their ADSL product or selling it.
The first hint was at Supercom, when they played down their ADSL and their "Total Access" product took the spotlight.
I am sure that WSTL's main investors had enough of the delays from the RBOC's and ADSL chip manufactures.
The trick is how does WSTL gracefully exit the ADSL arena without upsetting other key investors.
Look to see more hints of an ADSL departure, then it's full speed ahead with their core product business.
This again is all my own opinion.
Later,……..
