Tero, you said for me to "Be afraid, be very afraid" in regard to GSM. As Gregg explained, the process of GSM being overtaken by cdmaOne and cdma2000 is inexorable. I'm not afraid of GSM. Nokia is doing an excellent job, as you point out, of using advancing technology to squeeze the last minute out of GSM networks and it is profiting them enormously at the expense of L M Ericsson, Motorola and other GSM suppliers. It will also fund their cdmaOne developments, so you will soon see them rolling out some impressive handsets for cdmaOne. It will be questionable that L M Ericsson's presence in the cdmaOne or cdma2000 markets will even be desirable. QUALCOMM, Nokia, Lucent, Samsung, Motorola, Northern Telecom, LG, Hyundai, Maxon, Philips, NEC, Fujitsu, Sony, Denso, and the horde of other cdmaOne licensees will be perfectly capable of supplying all customers. Nokia's excellent effort and L M Ericsson's stalling tactics to keep cdmaOne at bay even for another week have been successful in slowing the adoption of cdmaOne a bit longer than I expected. But time is nearly up. What I have learned from an investment point of view is that I need to expect things to take longer than I think they will. But I am very afraid! A year ago or longer I started ranting about Janet Reno and USA attacks on Microsoft. Qdog was all in favour of the attacks. As were and are many others. The attack is now in full force. I feared that QUALCOMM would be next in line. I fear L M Ericsson as I'd fear a common rooster the worst being a peck and scratch. I fear like I fear a pack of Tyrannosaurs the values of USA anti-trust, anti-monopoly, for the greater good, stuff the law and constitution, flippism patent decisions, 'free' market [as in Ericy saying 'let the market decide'!!!], envy, Kleptocracy, statist, goodbye capitalism and free enterprise. Intel is in the gun! Will QUALCOMM be next? After all the hard work is done.microsoft.aynrand.org I am very afraid. Mqurice
