Melissa,

One thing that stands out is the 5 year 40% projected EPS growth. I don't know if you noticed or not but the survey results indicated that the non-cyclical sector IT budgets were up for 1999 and while the cyclicals were down, within that group, High Tech, Aero/Eng, Retail were up making the total average 167% of 1997 spending. New product flows and deferred activity was said to accelerate growth in the 2H of 1999 and 2000. Since the market generally looks at least 6 months ahead, that would indicate to me that the stock is currently priced for the anticipated growth in 1999-2000.

I'm considering adding SAP shares, but still think it could possibly retest the low. But, otoh, as I pointed out earlier, it does appear that SAP is making a move above the 50 & 200 EMA's and that's usually a very bullish indicator.

As far as the analyst's price targets go, frankly, I give them no credence whatsoever.
