Hello Dwight,

I'm finding the same thing with the dealers I buy from. There is nearly a $800 premium over last years prices on $1000 bags. BU $20 gold coins just jumped the $500 hurdle also. Last November when gold was in the $340 area I could buy these for under $400. If you or anyone else knows of a better place to buy bag silver please post it. I'll do what I can to tighten the supply a little further.

Hello Dwight: This is the same effect - anticipation - that pushes gold share prices up in expectation of a gold bullion price move. Either the bullion moves up and fulfills the expectation, or bullion moves down and disappoints. In either case the shares get sold on a) profit taking, or, b) loss taking.

Public purchasing of coin is important to the silver story. Public buying could vastly increase the supply/demand deficit, offsetting possible negative effects on demand arising from the Asian economic downturn.
