i had saved some PMs for a rainy day. thought you would like this one, i still laugh when i read it. To: macker (who wrote...) From: dwlima Friday, Jun 19 1998 10:40AM ET i am hanging in there and waiting for any possible rumors to occur, including a buy-out, stock purchase, etc. i have heard that even General Motors may want some SGNC. i guess they are thinking of placing a transfusion machine in each car. Then, in the case of emergencies blood is readily avaialable...just think of all those car accidents...this could be huge :) hope all is well. David To: macker (who wrote...) From: dwlima Friday, Jun 19 1998 11:01AM ET the rumor sounds crazy, but it is true. as we write, there exists a fierce struggle among car manufacturers to take the next steps in safety. We all thought Volvo would come on strong, but it is GM leading the way in safety. GM has concluded after the problems with airbags that safety-enhancing products are limited and pose as a liability...thus, instead of accident prevention, they are gearing up to enter the market with a whole slew of after the fact products used in saving lives. i guess the whole plan hinges on a mass education of all drivers to learn basic life-saving techniques- like administering trachiotomies (sp?), mitrol valve replacement and blood tranfususions on the spot....thus reducing the importance of the now precious travel time what do you think? To: macker (who wrote...) From: dwlima Friday, Jun 19 1998 11:15AM ET oh, sgnc was chosen among all 4 letter ticker symbols as having the best chances of success. you notice that the middle 2 letters are very similar to GM. do you hoenstly believe this is a coincidence? also, c is the last letter...any major car company come to mind? there are rumors that s stands for saab....but, i have less confidence in that one. any ideas? Then i saw this and i realized he was taking me seriously. To: Jim B (1387 ) From: macker Friday, Jun 19 1998 10:55AM ET Reply # of 1396 there is an infinite amount of possibilities that go with it too: 1. govt funding due to the aids issues 2. in wars 3. general motors or the like selling a bottle with each new car due to car accidents, a crazy rumor i have heard 4. athletes wanting to maximize Oxygen potential 5. deep sea divers 6. even outerspace, a space suit that recirculates your own blood with blasts of the product, a stretch but possible in the future while im just trying to show some possibilities even though far fetched on some, i just want to make people aware of the huge impact a product like this will have. Macker To: macker (who wrote...) From: dwlima Friday, Jun 19 1998 11:27AM ET i was joking with GM....i was just playing off the rumor bit.
