Hi, Ken:

Your screen is quite interesting. I have also been working on the
devlopment of computer screens for short-term trading. On Oct. 19,
I used the following screen for a short-term trading portfolio which
is up 16%+ to date.

Eps growth>20%
p/e < eps growth
p/s < p/b
Institution ownership/insider ownerhsip>2
short interest ratio>5
change in 26wk price> change in 52wk price
chante in 13wk price> change in 26wk price
change in 4wk price > change in 13wk price

Using the Oct.19 StockQuest database, I obtained the following list of companies.

GLW, HAL, INVX, NBL, NX, SCI, SJK, SLB, TDW, X, XLTC

Ken, given an additional day's trading, the NLCS chart, imho, has turned into a promising-looking short: it bumped up against $30 six times before closing 1/16 above it Thursday. On Friday, it rose, then reversed, forming a high-wave black (almost) engulfing candle, a bearish signal and a failed breakout. According to Schwager, failed signals are among the strongest signals. We may be seeing more of them this week. What do you think?--Kris
