**OT** Appliances

Chuzz and all, I agree about the subzero - skip it. Amana I believe offers some high end models with the same options as subzero now, I might look into those if I was in the mkt.

OTOH, I cant say enough good things about the Neptune washer from Maytag - it costs twice as much as any other washer, but worth it. I knows how much water is required for each load, and its a front loader so it takes less water anyway. A must for a water conscious state like CA... you recoup your investment quickly.

I have a question for everyone:

I have a small position in DELL, bought 500 shares at 42 3/8 in May. Someone told me in another thread to sell covered call on these shares. Can you guys tell me is that a good idea or not? I am thinking about selling the Dec 70 calls. But I don't know where to find the price for that and whether my broker, Datek Online lets me sell only 5 contracts?

As you can see, I am still not clear on options trading. Suppose DELL reaches 70 before the 3rd Friday of Dec, I get a call. Suppose I sell the Dec 70 options at $2 now, does that mean that my actual selling price is $72? What if I decide to keep the stocks when the $70 price strikes? Do I have to pay anything? Thanks.

**OT**Chuzzlewit, I really appreciate the post on problems with your Subzero refrigerator. I was fixing to buy one for Betty's new kitchen and your input is extremely welcome. Anything else you have to add will be a great favor.

Thank you!
