Tip, That is why we see guys on CNBS agreeing totally about the outlook on the market with geeks from other firms. They always try to be so polite to those who play the game. And so vicious to a Fleckenstein or a Rodgers who think for themselves.

I always believed that I was in competition and I decided, while my fund was still in registration, that I was going to attract more assets than Magellan Fund. When it passed Magellan in assets, I sent Peter Lynch a postcard with the Lipper numbers attached. My bosses thought that was horribly tacky. Now Lynch is doing ads with Don Rickles and Lily Tomlin. Who's tacky now? <G>

Everyone talks about how wonderful competition is, and then does everything possible to not have to compete.

Tippet,
There is competition believe it or not.
Problem is the cheapo hmo's limit your choices.
And,no, doctors are not one big happy fraternity anymore.
BTW pay for "good" insurance; consumer beware;it's your health.
Regards,
Brice
