BX...500 shares in MAY....presplit or post split...?.....

I bought 200 shares pre-split at 84 5/8 in May. After the split, I got another 100 shares at 42 1/2 in early September during the selloff. So I have 500 shares at an average price of about 42 1/2. Basically, more than 50% return in about 5 months. But that was nothing comparing to getting 600 shares of Dell in Jan 95 at $33, and after 3 splits, selling it at $100. But you know what? I put that money in IOM when it was $16/share. So my $480,000 in 97 turned into $180,000 now. I was planning to retire for the next 10 years in 98, hoping IOM would goto $50 by now. Instead, I still have to work in the same stinking place and wishing I had still owned DELL.
