I would not be directly involved in any such "Auction" or re-organization of Syquest, as a third party.It's possible that some of my business associated companies would be involved, but I would not have any communication with them on this matter.
I agree with your view, and had the same reaction two months ago when they announced the retainer with Oppenheimer.
I, also, am not "touting the stock", I just don't believe the "cliquish" silicon valley would let an industry pioneering Brand, disappear. It is too expensive to start a new brand from scratch ( which is much of my business activity).
I am still of the opinion, that some inexpensive "guerilla" marketing, coupled with Syquest's various technologies, could do wonders here.
Unfortunately, even guerilla marketing has a cost attached, with no guarantees of success.
The Syquest management's credibility is one of the current large problems.
Looking forward to following this to it's conclusion.
