MJ informs me "flight" will be our procedure tomorrow, after I've worked in the yard. The people around here have gone absolutely nuts with cheery, chipper, health- community-for-kids-type yard and porch and store decorations. It's frightening. Everyone is so in the spirit of things, like it's the First Time, or from a movie, or the only holiday in 12 months. I starting to feel my least favorite feeling, darnit ~ guilt.

I drove by a house today whose whole yard is done up like a graveyard. Fence, tombstones, flying bats and backdrops. Where do they even store all of this handmade stuff? My tenants have decorated the whole porch, which is probably bigger than that guy's yard, and they don't even have children.

I can sense kids will be going by our house, saying, "Oh. That's THOSE guys."

Yet, a couple a beers into the Reggae I'll feel better. Better; then my good-old-self; then superior; then MJ says "Time to go, buddy". They'll get over it.

Whereas, I wouldn't.
