Well, the whole history of the transaction is suspect. A big announcement and a lot of press FOLLOWED by consultation with an
independent investment counselor. They jumped the gun and then were told that what they were cooking up might not work so they backed out. That's what I see. But the courts don't look at good intentions as counting for much. Look at it this way. If company officials sold privately held stock at high prices and the company eventually ends up picking up the tab then where have they lost out? I would love to see how the next share holders meeting goes. Peasants with pitchforks I would imagine. The whole thing will be rolled into one lawsuit and even the lawyers will see their piece of the action shivel. And you are right, shareholders will be lucky to receive a penny on the dollar.
