Everyone, get the latest issue of Scientific American. It talks about the simple fact ISIS has the first antisense drug on the market today.

This is a singular accomplishment.

I have, in the past, said biotech is where the IC/electronics industry was 20 years ago. This is not entirely accurate as there was no equivalent to the FDA and the health insurance industry for the likes of INTEL, Microsoft, HP to deal with. Can you imagine where we would be if there were a self appointed crew similar to the FDA reviewing the acceptability of say, Windows, for the marketplace? We would be fortunate to have DOS with floppies.

Biotechs will not really move until they start making money. They will not start making money until they can get products by the FDA and the insurance industry.

ISIS has done just that. It's not a big market, but it is there. This technology is as real as it gets. There will be setbacks as we learn what diseases are not appropriate for antisense. It makes absolutely no sense to invest in this company unless you believe in the long term value of antisense. (There's a play on words in there somewhere, but I lack the poetic skills to bring it out.)

NO. It does not matter what the management says, the market will do what the market will do. NO. There is no magical 'incantation' or combination of word wizardry to make the stock move. NO. There are no conspiracies with MMs' or anyone else cheating all of us sincere, honest, and good looking investors from our just rewards in investor heaven. NO. There is never a simple answer for why the stock has gone up or down or sideways. It just is.

It is plain silly to try and trade this stock. If you want to trade on the TA of a stock, get something with a lot of beta and volume and play it. If you want to take a shot at a good technology with a lot of presently unfulfilled potential, this is the place to be.

Jack

I have seen Crooke before on cnbc. He is the worse public relations
executive I have seen on tv bar none. He actually looked like he was
falling asleep.Maybe that's why this company is undervalued relative
to it's technology value.Crooke can't sell.
bring in a new ceo or coo, president keep Crooke as Chairman and
get someone with stamina, assertion, public speaking skills, and charisma
and that's when invetors will get excited about this company.
