Good point! So everybody get a ZIP or JAZ drive and put the files on that. Then keep the disk at home when the PC goes in the shop.

Sure, that's a big risk. How concerned one should be is
individual, but everyone should be aware. Let me at your
PC with unlimited tools and I will know a lot about whatever
"you" that's stored on it. Assuming I'm the nefarious type,
which, of course, I'm not, but that underpaid techie who
knows so much and thinks he's unappreciated ... well ...
