No, I don't play the harpsichord, or even the piano. The only time I've been right next to one was at the Smithsonian, where they once had an extensive exhibit of pre-pianos. Claviers and such. One of the benefits of growing up in Washington DC was getting to go to the museums a lot.

I dunno where I read that the harpischord demands a lot of effort. Might have been in an article by Bill Buckley, who plays one, or on JS Bach, who I think composed before the piano was invented.
