All, It looks like I was too picky in holding out for a few extra dollars on RAL. I let my fears of a near term stock reversal get in way of the buy decision. The earnings surprise a few days ago likely bumped it beyond my buy price for quite a time to come. Going forward, I'm going to try to stay in front of the curve. Since I just recently started my most recent incantation of the Buffettology strategy, I've been reading quite a few reports on companies I've previously not been exposed to. Some of the most interesting I've encountered having the Buffett characteristics that have recent prices at or very near my buy price.. RAL - Ralston Purina - still a buy, but marginally so at current prices. Would like to see it drop back for a buy. FIC - Fair, Isaac - Data Mining, models to assist lenders assess credit risk. Are expanding into other areas. Quite an interesting company, and the financials are strong. I'm thinking there's a barrier to entry here. If anyone is familiar with the company I'd be interested to hear. PSFT - Peoplesoft - ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) - enterprise-wide computing systems. One of the leading company in Apps. CHB - Champion Enterprises. Manufactured Housing. I'm still a little bearish, so I'm waiting for a general market pullback, but on the next downdraft I expect to average into a few of these companies. Shane
