Needham also downgraded their opinion on Cypress Semiconductor yesterday. Given the short period of time ( about a month ) since their upgrade of ADI and yesterday's dual downgrades, I would submit Needham is attempting to engage their clients in a little market timing activity. Judging by yesterday's action, the markets have dismissed these downgrades, and instead see the bigger picture of rapidly improving chipmakers' fortunes. Gene Piccoli
