Thank you very much for your report. Your technical and strategic knowledge is greatly appreciated. The bit about preserving cash to combat a hostile takeover does not make sense to me either. IMHO It would seem to me that the best way to prevent the takeover would be to purchase the shares now, rather than wait for a takeover. It is quite possible that the company could be prevented from buying its own shares after a takeover is announced. Also it would require board of director approval and the board of directors might be hard pressed to legally justify such a move. Is there anyway to ascertain if there was any concentrated buying today?
