If this is the case the SEC certainly needs to go back to the situation with MRVC in May and review those events. Events on this thread appear to correlate with an escalating short position over the next 3 months that was associated in turn with the substantial drop in share price in August.

I think it makes sense that the business strategy people of any company would be interested in these events, especially if they seem to be interested in hostile takeovers.
