Glenn & All, it's a beautiful Sat. morning here and my mind seems so clear. I am posting what I am thinking and need inputs/comments please: Re: Amzn's trading patterns(price actions) and it's trading elements/variables. During Jun/Jul: 10 million float less 8.7 million short-shares = pretty much "zero" share available for additional shorting. During Sep/Oct: 13 million float less 7.3 million short-shares = Approx. 4 million invisible shares available for shorting. Please think/guess/locate the 4 million shares and we will be able to explain the round trips price actions in the past three months; and we may be able to "reasonably project/(guess)" the price actions in the following "few" months, if the float stays relatively "constant". Now, the picture in my mind, "if I am Vinick/Msdw/trading(& daytrading) desks": Collectively, they are holding the long/short shares and the cycles repeat! When price drops to some point, based on the general environment/events such as earnings report/inventory/cash flow....Vinick/msdw will cover their shorts and start to buy a little...All the day-traders have LvL II screens, it's "very easy and quick" for the elephant MMs to send out signals cuz all the traders will just "got the message" and pile on...then everybody will be watching everybody carefully, all of those major "players" have both long/short shares to play with.... I box-traded 100 shares from July to Aug, 200 shares from Aug to Sept., 400 shares from Oct. to present....I think that I have been sort of doing what they are doing, just in a very very small way...
