>>>One question -- Does it seem to you that with Q99 we will be sending more personal data to Intuit or the bank, even inadvertently? I don't think Intuit or my bank need to know what stocks I own, for example. And I don't think Schwab or Intuit need to know how much I owe on the house, either. I'm just funny that way. (Similar to being stupid in Michigan, I suppose.) There is an option on install to turn on or off sending diagnostic data to intuit...I set mine for on, just for that..If I do have a problem I want a diagnosis. I would hope that isn't a license to broadcast personal data across the internet. You are requied if you want to upload investment data into Quicken.com web portfolio feature to sign up for a secured account..user name and password. So what has been a one way event...down load data into quicken...now becomes 2 way, so you can upload your portfolio on the web during the same process.....and view it anywhere, but that's up to you.....also includes down loads from your web entry account....a scratch pad so to speak where you could enter a transaction from say a road trip, and down load it later when you got back to the house and quicken. Re the tax planner..I just roughed it in with annualized 10 month results...I owe more now. And it shows up now everytime I go back to that tab....I might have to delete that one. All the tabbed pages mentioned before come up with defaults installed...but under each local section you can customize the data displayed. I suppose this will be the most time consuming part of setting up 99, customization...everybody is unique in how the will want their data presented. Kinda like burger king Quicken, have it your way. Behind this interface is the old familiar Q98 Interface and registers. Overall...I like it a lot, e-bill still has the same billers, and the same messages. Wonder when they are going to turn that on?
