Symbol could use the DR-DOS code (I asked my source) but he said that their customers have the perception fear of not having a 100% MS-DOS compatibility and therefore they will avoid the DR-DOS code. So, if customers have fear that the code is not 100% MS-DOS compatible then I would say that the old MS-DOS has a monopoly. Ask Caldera, I know what their answer would be.

Symbol has little choice but to either use MS-DOS or lose customers.
