LUC,

There's a darn good reason for that too. Bullishness is akin to godliness. Shorts are evil. 90% of the people who invest don't even know the concept of shorting. 90% of the 10% left know how to short, but don't invest that way.

With the market's general propensity for UP, and the money creation and trickle down effect it affords, the global leader "who ever they are" are determined to keep capital flowing. It keeps people spending, and keeps the government's coffers filled.

Why do you think we have a 70 billion tax surplus? Two words: capital gains.

You may be seeing something extraordinaryly new...even though some of the gears of the machine are wearing (a few are even broken); it grinds, it creaks, and it howls; fix them on the fly with lots of grease and oil. DON'T STOP THE MACHINE. When you get a chance, slow the machine to replace the gears, BUT DON'T STOP THE MACHINE.

Dow 10000 by Jan 1 1999? It's getting to feel that way...
