The write-combining feature does sound promising for a slight speed improvement. I didn't know the K6-2 couldn't write-combine.

As for the K6-3 benchmarks, I'd sure like to see a link. But either way, I'll reserve my judgement on the K6-3 until I see the actual benchmarks from reputable guys like Tom's Hardware or PC Magazine.
