Tero,

Let me repost what I wrote:

And Koreans are good at exporting goods. And I bet in 10 years Korean will ship phones in millions to other countries as long as those countries have the guts to open for importing and allowing for CDMA infrastructure to build there. Could Koreans boast later on that they are the first country to pour all their resources to develop CDMA stuff and succeed just like you mentioned your Nokia and Finland? They have 46 million people and a lot of Doctors.

So if EU counties, China, Taiwan, etc. open for CDMA infrastructure built out., you still think CDMA is in a niche market. By the way why is Nokia and ERICY go for WCDMA while WCDMA is not even in the niche market yet. Would not be pretty dumb at this point of time? They do not even know what type of niche market they will be in since they also use the term CDMA.

Give yourself a break boast your Nokia phones stand by time and sleek look. It is the very reason that US or other countries protect their own territories for infrastructures build out at this time. Nokia is only a beneficiary of GSM infrastructure built out from most other countries and the operators past decisions. Phone standby time and sleek look are such minor points that your funny tone keep pumping out.

Hence the current fight for 3G standards between the manufacturers, the operators and the country's governments!

I gave Korea as an example to show you how a country government's policy decision can change things so dramatically. You are still talking about phone stand-by time and sleek look. Funny man you really are.
