George,
Nice to chat with you again. And nice commentary that you lead me too. Thank you.
I would like to be blunt ( unusual for me as you know ),this is what is so bullish and why I say buy, buy, buy. This is ( the commentary you directed me to ) the normal bullish constituency and they are reticent. That means there are an inordinate, and enormous, amount of buyers to come down the road from all sectors.
The easy money is to buy now. You know, from my Midas commentary, timing wise, why I say this.
When I made it big in copper, it was the same thing. You could not find a real bull advocate. At the copper convention ( at the bottom ), there was one real bull. A preponderance of logical, bearish explanations is the number one key to a very big bull market.
The big money and the big moves come from situations like this. You are one smart, esteemed fellow and they have you bamboozelled you too in a sense ( only in a propaganda sense ). And I can understand why. Yet, the two year excess supply of gold is going to dry up and demand is reviving in a fairly decent way. We have a big bull market coming and silver will probably lead the way.
Uncle Bill

I was talking about GOLD with John Embry {PM fund buyer} on www.ioltv.com. He also believed that gold was being manipulated down. Yet when pressed, and before I got booted, he couldn't give any justifed reasons as to why it was being oppressed. When question on how he valued the fair price of gold, he had no reasonable explanation of how to value gold. {Even a good suit comment would seem fair}.

I suggest that a conspiracy theory needs to answer as many questions as it asks. Yet this theory has been around for years. So let me ask one question: And please someone answer it!!!!

Question: Of the 8000 tons short position that every gold bug speaks of, how much of it is uncovered shorts?

Answer that, and you go a long way to knowing where gold will be in 6 months.

Speaking of rigged markets, I think a giant scam occurred this week on the NYSE.

This is just my opinion, but I think that someone who knew the IMF was going to get a boost from the G7 put out the "rumor" that Brazil was going to devalue their currency. The rumor was reported on CNBC Wednesday and Brazilian ADRs sold off in a mini panic. Telebras, for example, lost about $5, UBB about 9%. Whoever put out the rumor was probably buying, because Friday came the IMF news, and the same ADRs
experienced a huge amount of buying, probably buying back the shares from the entity who started the rumor to begin with!

It must be nice to be powerful enough to be able to start a rumor and have it picked up by all the news media.
