You two couldn't stand to reason. You preach it but will not practise what you preach. The christian religion is the most wishy wash bible quoting and are still in kindergarden in the kingdom of God. Each one of you know you find things you cannot justify as God's words. Your knowledge of God is all in your imagination. The loony bin is full of people who believe and have faith they are some great person or an angel. You do not even follow your own rules so you come up with forgiveness for you said Jesus I'm sorry. I think as Christians Christ would agree thats a pretty sad situation.

Dear John, and All,
I have a thought about Halloween I would like to share. I heard people saying "this is satans holiday" or "this is the day of evil".
Immediately in my mind I thought, No, This is the day that the Lord has made. Everyday is His day and I will rejoice and be glad in it.
Shalu Shalom Yerushalim, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,
Nancy

†..The temptation is to address the false issues..†

Very well said John, and that is the exact point.
Adressing the false issues and lies from the enemy's camp should be done, the temptation is that once it has been done, to do it again and again and again and again and again! Even when one sees they are getting no place. The temptation is to be right! The temptation is to think to oneself that "I can get to this guy"....I can change his mind. I can show him he's wrong. I can convert him.!

Yea, we've all been there, but maturity in God's word can free us from all those I's. Christ taught the parable of the sower for times just like these.

Our responsibility as Christians is to be a light to those in darkness, and to condemn all lies and deceivableness, in the name of Christ, with the word of God only, not in our words, or in our own power, lest we think we are something. Arguing with a belligerent infidel does not, at all, give any glory to God!

Thank God we are not responsible for the convincing anyone of the truth of God....Only for bringing it to them.! It is many times just so crystal clear why Jesus also taught us this.

Matt 10:11-15
11 And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12 And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

Jesus, the Master of everything!! He is our only true example!

Have a blessed day John, you and your family
Shalom...†

Mark 16:15-16
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

We were not commanded to shove it down anyone's throat. We were not even commanded to convince them of it's truth. And we were certainly never commanded to argue with them about it either. Preach it, and let it go. God will do the rest in His own time...If He sees fit.
And hey, praise God for the 1,000 yr reign of Christ, He provided for everything. He is a perfect loving Father!
