Would appreciate some direction/advice regarding the following....1. can I down load an IRS publication 590 of the web??? 2. I turned 70 on Aug. 2nd 1998, it would seem that come end of Jan 1999 I have to start withdrawing a percentage of funds from my IRA, all IRA monies are in common stocks, needless to say, all are down 30 to 40 %, rule suggests to me that one has to go back 6 months to establish a value then withdraw monies.... the irony is that 6 months ago the stocks were worth a hell of a lot MORE.....than now.....it seems like ssomething is wrong???? is it me??? Thanking anyone for any info.... Waldy

Dave, I plan to use Quicken99 to handle the accounting for my trades. I heard that Quicken takes wash sale into consideration and marks those trades accordingly. Would appreciate input from anyone with Quicken experience.

Regards,

Tom
