Joe,

Re Shorts.

Leaving a short position on a rally, is like selling a long position into panic. It's the worst way to do it and they (the shorts) know this. That's why I think most shorts have held through the big point jump days in the hopes of getting out at weaker times. Ofcourse those that wrote puts that they have no hope of making anything on may have dumped them, but other than that I suspect there is a lot of holding being done.

Steve

Joe and all, a postcard from me from Beijing China. Where I stay I can watch CNBC real time - NY market starts at 10:30 pm Beijing tim e here. But unforutunately usually after a whole day of touring I won't have energy to stay up to watch the US market.

But things really look great ever since I left for my trip. All the stocks are up, coms is breaking out with HUGE volume, no more global recession, no more asian flu, didn't even see any Clinton news ....... what's is happening ??

If coms keeps going up at this rate, I'll be retiring when I come back ! - on second thought maybe I should dump everything at $37 which is sort of my break-even point !! Then as uausl I'll miss the biggest move in the century.

I still have four weeks of travelling in front of me. Next stop ShangDong TaiShan and then Shanghai.

But getting internet access is not easy in this part of the world. Dialing the North America 800 toll-free no also didn't work. I typed in www.playboy.com and guess what - it's blocked.

Breakout coms, breakout coms !

Mang
