Jim I'm curious on AMD rally these last 3 trading days . I believe most of the news out was already written in its last earnings . Large funds dumped AMD then because of high cost R& D and manufacturing.
Spending 100+mil in cash (loans) to get 1 mil in profits ?
I know there is a huge market for its processors ( other chips they make are in trouble ) but were is the money.
No guess I shorted AMD at Fridays close. I'm guessing this is none other than a short squeeze rally only to be shorted at its peak.

Jim, first of all, there was just a tad of sensationalism in that article, so I don't think Intel is forced to drastically change its strategy due to market condition as the article implies. However, I would be worried if I was long AMD because Intel's strategy is clear: introduce faster processors at the low-end while matching AMD with price. I believe Andy Grove made a statement recently to the effect "the party's over for AMD". He usually means what he says. Sure, this may hurt Intel's bottom-line a little bit, but the effect on AMD will continue to be devastating.

However, you, Brian, Maxwell, and Kash are doing a great job hyping this stock. My 1,000+ share purchase at $14 thanks you. Keep it up...and in a few motnhs, i'll be making the same money on the way down as i'm making on the way up.
