Osprey.. you are getting lots of advise here, so I will add my .02 worth. I used action direct a long while ago until I got so fed up with them I moved that account to e-trade. I still have my Scotia account but I have found them slow lately and even sometimes hard to get through on the phone. Can't say they are the friendliest bunch either but will keep an account there.
Got to say that E-Trade does very well for me. Sometimes the TSE trade is done before I can get back to the java and see the trades listed. Friday I put a market order in on the rush up and filled very fast. Started to die out in the 1.20's and again sent the order to sell. E-trade did very good work. Sold at 1.19 and 1.18 a few sec after I sent the order. These banks are going to have to get on the ball if they want business.

Greenline solves this problem when you phone in the automatic
answering system directs you to trainees for Quotes and traders if you want to execute an order.

>>> I have Action Direct as well. I remember back in January I had 200,000 shares of TKO, I call Action Direct and got a guy that could barely speak english, he asked me for my account number, my name, and then what I wanted to do.<<<

Thanks Jim.I currently use the non-internet PC Action direct which is modem directed.I think that Net Action is the name for the internet connection for Action Direct.Anyways when I said Net Action that was what I was referring to.
It is terribly frustrating when you call them and a stock is moving as they do not have the same sense of urgency as we do.And/or they do not seem to care.
