zurdo, welcome the shorts with all your heart and soul!

We all want to be kept abreast of news regarding eBay, be they positive, negative or neutral.

I hope we can tolerate and embrace shorts and longs with equal aplomb. All we know is eBay has tremendous potential. It could explode or implode.

For every Amazon.com and Yahoo!, there are dozens of Egghead.coms and Zapatas.

Not to say eBay is on the level of EGGS or Zapata...

Certainly, we don't want to be irrational on either side of the fence. Money is meant to be made.

And, if you check out the Amazon thread, you'll find some of the shortest shorts on Earth. Insightful, informative and dead wrong about AMZN's growth -- so far.

The more the merrier.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I never short a stock. I do feel there is flaws in the feedback system, as was discussed earlier. I have used ebay for a year now and have really enjoyed it. Ebay is a wonderful idea. I was just sharing some info that I thought might be helpful. It does amaze me how longs never want to read anything that might remotely be negative. I've been there before too. I have learned the hard way to give all points of view some thought, in some instances it has paid off. I'm neither smart enough or dumb enough to tell you to buy or sell a stock.

Here are some comments to a Custumer service page... Yup I bet it is run on Windows NT!!! lol bit of a joke that a $3.5 co can't keep their web site going... This will be the reason that people consider other options..

What happens to all of us that have items that ended during your reboot? we had 14 items for sale tonight - 9 of them were lost during
this time. None of them made the going going gone list which as you know is when the bidding is the best. This has cost everyone!

Now I can get in! The item went for 211. I was going to bid 225. Maybe I would have been outbid, but the seller loses out on this.

Skippy - I'm afraid I don't quite understand. No one could bid, so why is this not eligible?

I was bidding on an auction that was to end in about 30 minutes when you had to shut down. I was not able to check back or watch to
see if the bid went up. When you got back up and running, the auction had ended, and I didn't win. I had no time to place another bid.
I don't think this is fair. Are you going to extend auctions that ended or were about to end during the shut-down?
