Mike, I don't believe much in tax selling, especially since most active stocks have options now. You may sell the stock, but create synthetic stock in the options (short put, long call), making a net zero impact on the market.

Basically, the Xmas lies peak in the two weeks after Thanksgiving. Then reality starts to set in. Some cos. persist. Such as Compaq claiming they were totally sold out on a pc box one week and then offering $100 rebates on it the next in order to move it. <G> But most start looking at what is really happening somewhere near Pearl Harbor Day, and that is probably when I will ramp up the puts. I am adding a bit already, but they are mostly early replacements for those about to expire in NOv.
