Mohan:
My family and I took a tour of the city palace and saw the 2 Gangajalis, the Maharajah used to carry water to England.

Lake palace, Cockroaches and Maharajah lookalikes
We stayed in the Lake palace overnight. Never saw cockroaches that big in my life in the palace rooms. Otherwise everything was fine and dandy. The overdressed and turbaned waiters were more interested in Baksheesh than in service to the customer. We could see the waiter turn into a sourpuss, not satisfied with 15% Baksheesh. Some waiters looked and carried on more like the maharajah (fattened by Baksheesh) that I was almost tempted to ask one of them for a donation to send my son to the IVY league College.<ggg>

Mohan

Great pictures of your village. Is it in the "Back Waters" of Kerala and how far from the coast.
