Jess,

it is amazing how a few months back in the USA can change ones outlook. You sound so much more optimistic than when you were in HK.

The semi eq sector had been on fire in anticipation of a recovery yet proven. Pre-occupied with personal matters the last couple of weeks, I blindly followed the tone of the market and was quite positive also. Having a little more time this weekend to catch up and reflect on a number of articles I read, I am now decidedly pessimistic.

While many moves have been made, by Greenspan, G7, Obuchi, Cardoso, is Russia, Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, etc any better today than six months ago? Further more, are the two stronghold, US and Europe, stronger or weaker?

Could the semi sector, and therefore the semi eq sector, grow without a stronger and growing global economy?
