TD If you would like to hear a comment from a bystander in this conversation, who is NOT christian, I am happy to oblige. I do agree that the christian right has created an atmosphere, both politically and socially, that is tense, near sighted, and to a great degree intolerant. I do think you and RB are guilty of some of the sam e things however, in what appears to be your desire to lump all things christian into one tidy compartment. the christian right doe not represent the religion of chrisitianity in its totality. those people represent themselves and are seperate from the religion. Your comment are the same as saying that all Moslems are Middle Eastern terrorists, or that Meir kahane represented the views of all jews. these people repesent themselves only. There are many christians who want nothing to do with intolerance and hatred. there are many who only want to sorship the god of their choice, as a means to a more fullfilling and meaningful life. If you dont acknowledge that, you are guilty of many of the same things you are speaking out against. On the other hand, I certainly dont mean to down play the intolerance and uncompassionate views of many in the christian right(although I am sure that many of them dont believe in intolerance and hatred also, there are certainly some who are vocal and do) the thing to remember,IMO, is that these views represent the views of individuals, and not an entire religion. mark

You know very well that just as Jesus did, Christians are to love their neighbor yet remain unspoiled by the very clothes of sin. Why do you want men and women(wonder why they are called that?) to hate one another, TD? Why do you spread your lies to make others be deceived, TD? Why do you say who I hate or who I don't? When you know nothing about me? Are you scared TD??? are you? You afraid of the Christians of the world standing for what they believe? Are you TD?? Why are you scared TD?? Does the fact that someone will pray for you scare you TD?? If I say I believe something, why does it bother you TD? Everyone in the USA have the right to free speech except Christians TD? You worried that the world might be a better place if you couldn't deceive anyone TD?? You agenda is clear that is why I won't waste any more time on you, you will lie to please yours. BTW..
