Shalom, A certain heavy metal band (their name escapes me presently) used to spout "Give us your children!" Your post clearly indicates the New Age movement could coin the same phrase. The U.N. had instituted a policy accepted by the membership that children could become wards of that organization when deemed "in need of protection." Appears good on the surface when we consider war torn areas yet how broad is the statement... in need of protection. Protection from what... teachings contrary to a New World Order. I get laughed at when I attempt to point out things that any Christian should recognize as the NA's agenda being dubbed paranoid or legalistic. Christ told us "a little leaven leaveneth the whole lot." What better place to make proselytes than in the schools as you have pointed out. What socialist leader was it that said, "We will destroy you from within." Kruschev I think. Communism is kindergarten in comparison to the NA, just as evil and conquering far more territory than communism ever could have in so little time. Political influence is temporary, changing repeatedly, NA deals in eternity without Christ. With my partner I am applying what we both believe... It's not up to us to convert the person, the Holy Spirit will do that. He has admitted he believes in God, Christ's sacrifice and resurrection as true. Also his need as a sinner to repent. Was even told how simply he could pray and know salvation which he said he has never done. He told me he would have no problem in his belief structure with doing that. However the next day I saw him he skirted the issue and I was not going to push the issue. I think evidence of conversion is a persons willingness to share the event... not being ashamed of the gospel. I will simply keep him in prayer and wait on the Lord. It's difficult as we work together every day of the week and I am naturally curious, but to push the issue would I think be inappropriate and more for my own satisfaction and wrong motivation. Regarding the reincarnation topic and channeling I am totally relying on scripture to refute the NA teachings. The thought that keeps coming up is "but these reincarnated spirits are professing their desire to share and gain knowledge." Countered with... Satan disguising himself as an angel of light and everything on death followed by judgment and the need for salvation by grace. The rebuttal is "that's your interpretation." Groan.... so simple, yet like most, the guys have a better way. Rejoicing though in God's mercy, I've seen many conversions there over the years and some that I thought would be the hardest to reach were actually the easiest and vice versa. In all this, I'm seeing far more of the NA teachings being the prominent opponent to the gospel and very few atheists. Everybody has some kind of belief structure and like you said, "the simplicity of Christ is not being taught much by anyone anymore." Your thoughts on sheep feeding out of another's field is profound. We need to do as Christ told us, ... Pray for more labourers in the harvest. I look forward to more discussion with you on this, I'll have to get back to some of your points as I'm running out of time. Thank you for your prayers for my partner and the others praying here as well. I hope we'll have reason for rejoicing with this answered prayer and all the other needs posted on this thread as well by God's grace. In praise of His name!
