Na Na Na na naanaah!!!!! So much for da big change!

All kidding aside. The unions make the politics. A lot of people didn't like Lingle's ties with Peters. Fasi saw the writing on the wall and without a 3rd party to draw votes Lingle had no chance.

Least that's the way it appears a few hours after the poles closed.

I've been back a few time's recently and I can say that I understand your feelings. It is a mess. I imagine I would have given serious consideration to the non democratic canidates. The question now is who will control the democratic party. There are a number of factions vieing for control. The old guard has retained power, but they lost it recently and may do so again. There can be no doubt that things are changing......but at an island style pace.
