Elmer, Off Topic

You keep using this word "foil" with respect to the K7? What does that mean in the context in which you are using it? The dictionary definitions of foil seem unrelated even in metaphorical terms.

Thanks for any help.

Bob

EP, <K7 is stuck with very high, expensive pincount,>
Could you enlighten us exactly how high is the K7
pinout? Does it ever come to your analytical
mind that your assumptions may not be quite
true?

<expensive chipsets possibly with multiple versions,>
Of course, it is highly economical to build
single-CPU systems with a highly-redundant
SMP-capable (and therefore slower) "universal"
chipset, very true :[

<The Intel P6 bus has none of these problems.>
There were many other busses without problems
except one - they ran at 1-10MHz...

<The on die L2 greatly reduces processor pin
count, reducing packaging cost and equipment
cost and increasing performance.>
Wow, what a revelation! You must be in strategic
marketing, bud. You only forgot who has a
better technology to built dense caches for
smaller silicon footprint...

<Ali, you're just getting more and more confused
as time goes by.> Sure, what else can a screwdriver
do against highly acquainted individuals like
youself? - he-he-he:)
