Sounds good to me---the other way will be fun too, I'm all for it. BTW, Twick, I'm not familiar with FRNT, no good source there. Jan

Put me down for JAII. This company has posted outstanding results in the last 3 quarters, including spectacular earnings released 10/28 and great expectations for Q4 and through 99 with a good backlog. Stock price has fallen since earnings release, and no real anticipatory upswing was realized prior to earnings. Something is up here, no idea what. I can find no negatives on this one other than a little debt which is handily being managed, and think this puppy is due to break out.

Johnstown America sees strong Q4
Reuters Story - October 28, 1998 18:05
CHICAGO, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Johnstown America Industries Inc., a maker of truck parts and other products, said Wednesday that its markets generally remain strong and that it expects an outstanding fourth quarter.

The company said revenues in the third quarter ended September 30 rose to $242.8 million from $186.8 million a year earlier. Net income in the quarter was $8.0 million or 78 cents a share, compared to $8.1 million or 83 cents a share last year. Excluding nonrecurring items, 1998 third quarter net income was $8.4 million or 82 cents a share, compared to $1.7 million or 17 cents a share a year ago, the firm said.

"Our truck components, freight car and iron castings operations all are producing excellent results in 1998, and in just nine months we already have surpassed our previous year-end records for revenues and earnings," said chief executive Thomas Begel. "With the fourth quarter off to a strong start and our freight car order backlog at an all-time high, we are on track for an outstanding year.
