Actually, that's not true. Inside information is inside information. If you get it -- however you get it -- even if you have no fiduciary relationship to the shareholders whatsoever, the SEC will come after you. And if they can prove their case... FWIW, I use to work for the SEC.

You make very good points--BUT-- You assume, I think, that there
is no communication across the Chinese wall at Goldielocks. Yes, that
is illegal and so are crooked dealers at Vegas. Dunno what the
Duchess would do tho--but only the BMFM would trust her.
